During the summer of 2014, owner Bao was serving his 8th year in the Canadian Military at Base Borden.  What started as a side project training a couple students out of someone else’s gym, grew into a dedicated community needing more space to grow. Within months, Bao saw himself along with his students, moving to their very own facility in South Barrie.

Fast forward to early 2020, after getting married in Thailand and returning to Canada, Bao and his wife (Nga) were confronted with their greatest challenges to date.  The COVID-19 Pandemic forced the temporary closure of Bao’s Fight Club, and changes to Nga’s career path created many uncertainties and questions to answer. This left the two of them in a very peculiar situation.  They can sit back and let the world crush them, or… DO something about it.  Of course they chose the latter.

The two were inspired by watching the rise of young entrepreneurs from start-ups like Barbell Brigade and Gymshark on Youtube.  After weeks of research and deep reflection, coupled with the ample support of family, friends, and their teammates at Legacy, they founded Legacy Fight Goods, athletic apparel brand and fight equipment shop!

A new journey has just begun.
